An authentic vintage cross anchors the necklace, layered with a smaller devotional medal worn smooth by time. The surfaces show softened relief, darkened recesses, and subtle traces of handling—marks that can’t be fabricated. These are objects that have already served, already been held, already meant something.
I don’t invent symbols. I work with what remains.
The medals are suspended from a strand of matte black beads that bring quiet contrast and restraint, grounding the piece and allowing the metal to speak. The result feels protective, intimate, and lived-in—more talisman than ornament.
