GOTHIC SEAL NECKLACE Sterling silver curb chain. One wax seal pendant.
A small round sterling pendant — molded in the form of a medieval wax seal, a gothic quatrefoil cross pressed into its face — hangs from an oxidized sterling curb chain. On the left side, hand-braided red waxed linen replaces the chain, knotted at the join and frayed at the ends. The Mended construction makes the asymmetry visible and permanent.
The pendant is heavily oxidized, the cross relief receding into near-black. It reads like something found, not made.
