This necklace draws from early coastal culture, improvised gear, and the quiet rituals of those who lived close to the sea in the 1920s and ’30s—surfers, sailors, and drifters who repaired what they had and carried meaning in simple objects.
A fine sterling chain is broken and rebuilt with hand-braided crimson waxed linen, knotted and patched like a field repair. An onyx cross and hand-finished oval medallion anchor the design, creating a modern relic that feels collected over time rather than newly made.
Nothing here is decorative for decoration’s sake. Every element serves a purpose. Every break in the chain tells a story.
