This piece begins with an original vintage medal featuring a quatrefoil — a four-lobed form found in ancient coins, architecture, and seals across cultures and centuries.
Using a direct wax impression, I capture the softened relief and surface history of the original, then translate that imprint into solid sterling silver by hand.
What remains is not a replica.
It is preserved design memory.
The oxidized finish, softened edges, and visible tool marks honor age rather than erasing it.
