his piece begins with an original vintage heraldic medal featuring a detailed crest, shield, and ornamental flourishes — imagery historically used to signify lineage, authority, and institutional identity.
Using a direct wax impression, I capture the softened relief and surface history of the original, then translate that imprint into solid sterling silver by hand. It is a preserved mark of legitimacy.
The layered imagery, oxidized finish, and irregular edges honor age rather than erasing it.
