On getting dressed, getting lost, and finding your way back.

On getting dressed, getting lost, and finding your way back.

On getting dressed, getting lost, and finding your way back.

I've spent a long time making things. Jewelry, objects, things that carry a little weight. Things that feel as though they've existed before us and might outlive us.

Lately, I've been thinking about clothes.

Not fashion, exactly. Not the endless churn of what's new, what's next, what's already over. I'm interested in the things we reach for without thinking. The black shirt that's been washed a hundred times. The jacket that has lost its shape in all the right places. The pieces that become part of us, almost without permission.

Clothes can be armor. They can be a refusal. They can be the closest thing we have to a second skin.

I have always been drawn to the imperfect. Raw edges. Faded black. The beautiful things that happen when something is worn, washed, pulled apart, and put back together. A little damage. A little defiance. Nothing too polished. Nothing trying too hard.

That's where this clothing comes from.

The Disinherited is about dressing outside the expected. About finding something in the margins, in the discarded, in the things that don't quite fit. Clothing with a lived-in quality, a little grit, and room for the person wearing it to make it their own.

I don't believe getting dressed needs to be complicated. I believe in a good black tee, an oversized silhouette, sleeves that fall just so, and the right amount of imperfection. Pieces you can wear into the ground. Pieces that don't ask for attention but somehow hold it.

Maybe that's why I've come back to clothes.

After years of making jewelry, I wanted to explore another kind of object. Something closer to the body, more immediate, less precious. Something you can throw on and walk out into the world wearing.

I'm not interested in dressing everyone. I'm interested in making things for people who recognize themselves in them.

The ones who never quite fit the uniform. Who prefer character to perfection. Who understand that style isn't about looking finished.

It's about feeling like yourself.

Or, sometimes, like someone you're still becoming.

Welcome to The Disinherited.

Wear it in. Wear it out. Make it yours.
