What Is a Modern Relic?

A modern relic is something made today with the hope that it will matter for years to come.

I'm drawn to materials that evolve through use—oxidized sterling silver, bronze, forged steel, leather, wood, and glass. They gather character over time, reflecting the lives lived around them.

Every piece is created with permanence in mind. Whether it's a necklace worn every day, an object on a mantel, or a chandelier that shapes a room, the work is intended to become part of its surroundings through presence, use, and time.

Jewelry, objects, and sculptural works are all expressions of the same philosophy: creating pieces that earn their place.

The things we return to again and again become part of our story. They gather memories, witness celebrations and losses, and quietly take on a life of their own.

To me, that's a modern relic.
